New SWAN Libraries+ app now available

The SWAN Libraries + app lets you store your library card, manage your account, and find books, movies, and more from your phone or tablet. The app is free to all patrons and available for iOS and Android.

A new release of the app is available as of December 2023. If you are using the old version of the app, please delete and reinstall the new app. The old app will not include your most recent account information and other features. Because the app is new, you may experience glitches at times. Please contact the Library if you need help with the app.

Features 

• View recommendations from your Library
  See what titles are new at your library or curated lists from librarians. You can manage these “browse categories” to your personal tastes.
• Store your Library card number
  Save your library card in your app, so you're never without it. You can also save your family’s library cards through linked accounts.
• Manage your account
  Manage your holds, checkouts, lists, and more in the app. 
• Search and request titles
  You can search for titles across the whole SWAN consortium, place holds, and see which libraries have what you're looking for.
• Download eBooks, eAudio, and more
  Your library's eBooks, eAudio, streaming movies, and more are all available in the app to search and download in one place.

Mobile App No Longer Operational - Please Use the Mobile-Friendly Website

What Happened? 

• The vendors that work with SWAN to develop and support the SWAN Libraries App have unexpectedly disabled the app. We're working to get a new app up and running in the new year, but in the meantime, you can use the library catalog on your phone and still access your account and library card for self checks.

How Can I Access My Account and Place Holds/Browse Materials? 

• You can use the mobile-friendly catalog in your phone or tablet's web browser until a new app is available.

What are Some Tips for Using the Website Version? 

Save the catalog to your home screen by going to your library catalog at https://sgd.swanlibraries.net/ and sign into your account.

What If I use the App for my Library Card Barcode? 

You can scan your barcode from the catalog by going to Your Account > Your Library Card to see your library barcode. You can scan this at your library’s self checks.
